Here's another great workshop for all you lovers of Louisiana's natural treasures. From 10:00 a.m. to noon, our good friend and naturalist extraordinaire Bill Fontenot will lead you on a tour of his own amazing gardens filled with native Louisiana plants, flowers and trees. And, he'll tell you how to attract friends of the feathered kind to your own yard and garden at this beautiful time of year. Afterwards, you'll be able to buy those very same plants right there on the spot at Bill's Prairie Basse nursery. The cost for the workshop is just $8 ($6 for members of Friends of Louisiana Folk Roots), and it takes place at Prairie Basse, 217 St. Fidelis Street, off Beau Bassin Road in Carencro, just up the road from Lafayette.
