ARRETE PAS LA MUSIQUE!
  DON'T STOP THE MUSIC!
<
Hello, everyone!

This Saturday, December 9, is downtown Lafayette's ArtWalk, so you know
it's time for another great Jam des Amis at Louisiana Folk Roots, too!

Hosting the jam will be the one-and-only Wilson Savoy of the
incomparable Pine Leaf Boys, and for some lagniappe, Wilson will be
bringing a special second guest host to liven things up even more!

The jam is from 6-8 p.m. in our new location at 101 W. Vermilion. That's
the Acadiana Center for the Arts building, right across the street from
the former Louisiana Folk Roots office. There's no charge and
complimentary refreshments will be provided.

Even if you don't play an instrument, you're welcome to drop in and
enjoy the music. So come on by this Saturday and check out the super jam
in the main gallery, and the new office of Louisiana Folk Roots upstairs
at the Acadiana Center for the Arts!

Registration for the Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week, April 20-26, 2007, at Chicot State Park is now open.  We sincerely hope you'll consider attending either as a full-time participant or on a part-time basis. We'll have a full slate of intensive classes with a stellar staff of instructors, as well as an extensive schedule of workshops and master presentations.  We truly will have something for everyone, and Chicot State Park is a wonderful setting it is for this exceptionally unique and exciting event.

Cabins and dorms fill up quickly, so we urge you to register as soon as possible to reserve your cabin or dorm space.

We're working on the line-up of instructors and workshops now, and we'll let you know more on this over the next few months.

Join us in celebrating Louisiana culture right here in Louisiana at the 2007 Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week!

We sincerely hope to see you there,
