Bonjour!

Folk Roots Kids Camp in Lafayette, LA, is June 9-13, 2025 on the campus of Vermilionville. It will include fun-filled days of traditional music instrument classes, folk crafts, French language singing, dance, movement & recreation, games, water sport (optional), museum tour, and good eats for youth ages 8-13 (entering 3rd - 8th grades). Instrument loans are available for day-camper use if needed (no take-home use); personal music instruments should be transported and stored at home daily during the Camp week. A canoeing excursion will be offered on the pond (optional).

Tuition fee includes a daily morning “Biscuits & Jam” snack, hearty lunch meal, afternoon snack, and water beverage. Campers can bring refillable water/juice bottles or extra snacks. A grand finale performance & dance showcase of the Kids Camp Bands and musician instructors will welcome families and friends on the Friday afternoon of Kids Camp.
